Wizkid in Abuja: Eagle Square concert on 13 December 2026, tickets and what to know

Lagos usually gets the big December nights. This year the capital gets Wizkid first, under the open sky at Eagle Square.

"ABUJA & LAGOS WITH THE KING!": DJ Tunez, Wizkid's long-time DJ, shares the flyer for both December dates on X, 13 October 2026.

Wizkid headlines the Live Out Loud Music Festival at Eagle Square, Abuja, on Sunday 13 December 2026, the capital's biggest confirmed concert of the festive season so far. Gates open at 4pm, the programme runs from 5pm to 11:55pm, and tickets are sold through Tix Africa as "Wizkid Live in Abuja".

Why this night is special

Nigeria's big December shows usually belong to Lagos, which is why DancehallMag singled out the Abuja booking when the dates came out, noting it is also Wizkid's first headline stage at home this year. He reaches Lagos five days later. The singer, born Ayodeji Balogun, won a Grammy in 2021 for the video of "Brown Skin Girl" with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter. He shared both dates as flyers on his verified Instagram, according to Voice of Nigeria.

Then there is the setting. Eagle Square is an open-air ceremonial ground in the Central Business District, the same place where Bola Tinubu took the oath as president on 29 May 2023. In December it turns into a concert ground: Davido brought his 5ive Alive Tour there on 14 December 2025 and drew thousands of fans, The Culture Custodian reported.

Tickets, prices and the rules at the gate

  • Where to buy: Tix Africa, the only seller named; The Rio Times says Nova Flair Media and Entertainment hosts the event there.
  • Prices: Standard is ₦50,000 (about US$38). The Rio Times reports the Standard Early Bird tier had gone by 15 October and lists a Gold Table for eight, drinks and a food platter included, at ₦2,562,500.
  • Age: over-18s only, unless a ticketed adult guardian comes with them, according to The Rio Times, which read the Tix Africa listing.
  • At the gate: The Rio Times reports bag searches, no re-entry once you leave and a ban on professional cameras and drones.
  • Not yet announced: booking fees and refund terms.

Skip tickets resold on social media, which may be fake or already scanned, and check the official listing before you set off: Visit Abuja, which lists the show, warns that organisers sometimes move times or venues at short notice.

Getting there

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is well outside the centre, so book your transfer ahead. On the night, expect the roads around the Central Business District to crawl and fix a pick-up spot away from the main gate; the US State Department advises ride-hailing apps over hailing a taxi in the street, especially late at night. Visitors who need a visa apply ahead through Nigeria's e-Visa portal, and anyone over nine months old needs yellow fever and polio vaccination certificates on arrival, the State Department says. Abuja runs on West Africa Time, an hour ahead of GMT.

The rest of an Abuja December

Wizkid is the biggest name on Visit Abuja's December calendar, which also lists The Capital Food Fest at Harrow Park on 5 December, a Made-in-Nigeria Export Exhibition on 12 and 13 December, Fam ODB Live at Bali Abuja on 20 December and Night of Classics at the Transcorp Hilton on 22 December. Last year a new citywide celebration, Abuja Detty December, announced a two-day soft launch for 26 and 27 December, with parties, arts and a fitness festival, Leadership reported. We found no 2026 programme from its organisers in late October.
