Nine days after filling London's O2 for the third time in his career, Asake is heading for the last stop of the year. On Saturday 24 October the Lagos-born singer plays the Accor Arena in Paris, the final night of his In God We Trust world tour, and BNXN is confirmed as his opening act, just as he was in London.

A tour built around a new chapter

Asake, born Ahmed Ololade in Lagos in 1995, released his fourth studio album, M$NEY, on 1 May. It was the first full album on his own imprint, Giran Republic, working with the distributor Empire, and it marked a new, independent stage of a career that took off on Olamide's YBNL label in 2022.

The tour built to carry the album was announced in late May: thirteen dates across Europe and North America. It opened with a headline set at Afro Nation in Portugal on 4 July, then crossed the Atlantic for ten arena shows from Chicago and Toronto to Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles.

The lead single, Worship, arrived as a surprise in March with the French-Algerian producer DJ Snake, which gives the Paris finale a neat local thread: a song co-made with one of France's best-known dance producers, closing the tour in the French capital.

London, a third time

The European leg began at The O2 in Greenwich on Thursday 15 October. The venue's own listing set out the running order: the South African amapiano duo TxC at a quarter past seven, BNXN at eight, and Asake at half past eight.

It was a homecoming of sorts. Asake first headlined the 20,000-capacity arena in 2023, after his second album Work of Art, and returned in September 2024. Post-show reports described a packed, sold-out room, the rapper Blaqbonez joining him on stage, and BNXN coming back out later in the night to perform alongside the headliner.

Who is BNXN?

BNXN, pronounced "Benson", is Daniel Etiese Benson, also born in Lagos, in 1997. Many fans first knew him as Buju; he changed the name in 2022, partly so his music would not be confused with that of the Jamaican reggae veteran Buju Banton.

  • Finesse (2022), with Pheelz, became his biggest international hit and a fixture of that summer.
  • Propeller (2022), with the London producer Jae5 and the rapper Dave, gave him his first UK Top 40 single.
  • Sincerely, Benson (2023) was his debut album, followed by Captain in 2025.
  • RnB (2024), a joint project with Ruger, ended a well-publicised rivalry between the two singers on a friendly note.

Planning to go

The Accor Arena sits beside the Seine at Bercy, a short walk from the Bercy metro station on lines 6 and 14. Arrive early: security queues can be long, and in London the support acts were on stage more than an hour before the headliner. Buy tickets through the arena and its official partner, not unofficial resellers.
