Tyla's A*POP World Tour: two Brixton nights done, North America next
Neon body paint, a treadmill and a fan pulled on stage for "Water": Tyla's first full headline world tour has landed in Europe, and America is next.

Tyla, the South African singer behind the Grammy-winning "Water", is on the road with the A*POP World Tour, her first full headline run across Europe, North America and Africa. It opened at the Zénith in Paris on 12 October, filled O2 Academy Brixton in London on 15 and 16 October, and crosses the Atlantic on 12 November.
Inside the first Brixton night
Clash was in the room on the first night and found a neon, Y2K-styled show: a curtain drop, a two-level set with a city feel, shadows thrown on a white screen and six dancers in neon body paint. Tyla opened with "THAT GIRL", sang "CHANEL" on a treadmill and stepped into the crowd during "MR. MEDIA" to hand fans the microphone.
The high point was "Water", with a fan brought up to dance beside her. Along the way came "PUSH 2 START", "Truth or Dare" and "SHE DID IT AGAIN", her song with Zara Larsson, before "SHAKE AH" closed the night. London clearly pleased her.
“So far this crowd has been the wildest.”
A*POP, the album behind it
A*POP, her second album, came out in July on FAX and Epic Records: 14 tracks that start from amapiano and pull in R&B, dancehall and house. Its singles include "CHANEL", "SHE DID IT AGAIN" and "IS IT LOVE?", and this month brought a video for "THAT GIRL", the song that now opens her shows.
The tour builds on a run few African artists have matched. "Water" reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, she has two Grammys, the first won in 2024, and her 2024 debut album reached No. 24 on the Billboard 200. Before this tour came her 2025 We Wanna Party Tour across Asia, with sold-out nights in Japan and the UAE.
